Over the summer I got hooked on a television show called Heroes. Its about random people brought together by their “powers”. For instance there’s a hero that can absorb other peoples abilities or the all time original super power, flying. This show has a total of 4 seasons but 5 volumes. I like volume 3 the best because it shows you some of the rarest abilities some people have. Like one man has the ability to create a vortex.
If you don’t watch this show from season 1 then this show would be very confusing. I think this is an amazing show if your really interested in Sci Fi.

In my perspective, i find this commercial to be a super bowl commercial. One, it was about football and two, it was funny! The new lion and most overpaid player in the NFL, Ndamukong Suh, stars in a commercial about tackling a “quarterback” while sporting the new, Nike Pro Hyper Strong girdle. Check it out!

The 6’2, Elijah Johnson, gives a NASTTYYY dunk in the Derby Classics in 2009! This has been one of the best dunks i have seen in my life. The funny thing about this dunk was that it wasn’t done in the NBA. The past few years, the NBA dunk contest has not reached my expectations. Back then, everybody was so excited to watch the dunk contest, but now people can care less about it. I feel that the population for the dunk contest has lowered because now they don’t even have some of the best players in the NBA who are known for their leaps in it. If this high school dunk got me all jumpy, there has to be something wrong with the dunk contest.

Impossible for one person to change the world?

I believe not! I recently watched, Hotel Rwanda, which described the audience what was occurring during the genocide of Rwanda. The city was broken up into two tribes, Hutu and Tutsi. Hutus believed they were better then the Tutsis and began taking out every Tutsis they can find. Hutus would would guns, machetes, and army force to take control of the city, but one man made a difference. His name was Paul Rusesabagina. With the genocide killing an estimated of 800,000 people, Paul had saved 1,268 Tutsi. He was half Hutu and half Tutsi, but had connections with the military leaders of the Hutus and would use his knowledge to help the Tutsis survive. Paul was a general manager at a hotel, which was where he kept the people. Paul Rusesabagina was internationally honored for what he had done for those who survived the genocide.

Never can be too hot to eat pho! The famous Vietnamese noodle recipe tradition that can never get old to me. The past few days over here in San Jose has been at least 80 degrees or above and all I’m craving is pho. The perfect lunch to me during this time of year would be a great big bowl of pho with the fresh bean sprouts crunching in your mouth every time you take a bite. Not to mention the mint leaves and the hot sriracha sauce! After everything, i like to treat myself with either a strawberry smoothie with pearls or a Thai tea with pearls. Picture perfect lunch =]

New group I had discovered, but they have been out for awhile, PAC DIV! aka Pacific Division. They started out with 10 members but they cut it down to only three members. The originated from LA and were also bball players in their high school. MTV JAMS and BET aired the song, Mayor, which was one of their big hits that came out in 2009. They came out with an album called GROWN MAN SYNDROME where they worked with the Neptunes. They also came out with a mix-tape called, Don’t Mention It. A good song that i enjoy listening to out of the mix-tape would be Shine.

Lately, i have been following the some what new show, Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution. This show is about an English chef , Jamie Oliver, traveling to the most obese city in the United States of America to try to change the amount of obesity in the city and to try to make it more healthier. Some kids in the show didn’t even know what a tomato is. This video comes to show how much kids do not realize what is good to eat or  not to eat (start from 4:25)

I recently watched the movie, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, and i thought that it was pretty good. It showed a different side of the story about how not all Germans were for the holocaust. The mother of the child for example was devastated after she found out the her husband was in charge of the holocaust. In history class, it seems like almost every German was considered a bad guy because they allowed all of the killings to happen, but it was entirely different. The mother on the husband could not even look or talk to her child because she was against the holocaust. This whole movie is about a child named Bruno who becomes friends with another kid that is actually put into the camp. At the end, there is a dramatic twist that will make you feel stunned at the end and actually ask yourself if that really happened.

About two weeks ago, my school had a two day assembly called, “Every 15 minutes”. The program, “Every 15 minutes”, tries to show you and try to help prevent you from drunk driving. Every 15 minutes, somebody dies by a drunk driver, but now it’s every 30 minutes. The whole assembly was pretty dramatic and touched a lot of hearts. The first day, they had the whole school come outside to the parking lot to experience what it would be like if there was an accident caused by a drunk driver. Everything was so real, they had real cop cars, ambulances, cops, and firetrucks. The second day was the funeral services where they took out 3 kids from each class out to stay in a hotel out in Santa Cruz. They were supposedly dead because of drunk drivers. They had real cops go up to their parents telling them that they’re son or daughter died in an accident, which was very sad because we saw a few clips of parents crying even though they knew the whole thing was fake. The video on top shows another video taken by a student ( a little blurry) but to just skip to the good stuff, i suggest you start watching at 2:09…but if you wanna see your boy on the big screen with a bball pose…skip to the 8 seconds mark! lol
